About Robert Pearson

I am a Pointe-Claire-based photographer available in and around the Island of Montreal for personal and family portraits, lifestyle photography, and commercial photography.

Photography started as a passionate hobby more than 30 years ago, and has always been a part of my life since. My goal in offering professional services is to deliver the photography you need and want.

In thinking about how I approach photography, I find the words of the late Anthony Armstrong-Jones, Earl of Snowdon, suit my intentions quite well. In an undated quote that appeared in his obituary in January 2017, the former husband of Queen Elisabeth II's sister Margaret was cited as saying “If I had a style I’d consider that one of my failings... The person you’re photographing is the important person. The photographer should be a chameleon.” The same can be said of commercial photography, wherein the images will be expected to convey the importance of a product or service, rather than a photographer's interpretation of how they should be depicted.

My most recent work is published in the Portfolio section of this site. Please browse work to see what inspires you to engage Robert Pearson Photography for your next photoshoot.

I've done my best to arrange the layout of this site to fit almost any screen, right down to a reasonably-sized smart phone screen. If you happen to see a way I can improve the layout/resizing on a certain device, please let me know.

While I have been tinkering with website design and development since the late 1990s, it has always remained "tinkering." Thanks to the web itself, I have been able to learn many new techniques over the years, and this site is no exception. While I continue to use the things I have learned with respect to HTML, this site is based on the "Supersized Fullscreen Slideshow jQuery Plugin, version 3.2.7, downloaded from www.buildinternet.com/project/supersized. It is used with an MIT License / GPL License as indicated in the materials in the download.
